The Insert Type Magnetic Plate nests into the bottom of the urethane recessed member (sold separately on this site) so that the bottom perimeter of the recessed member rests directly against the form wall, compared to a Profile Magnetic Plate, where the recessed member sits on top of the plate and does not come in contact with the form wall.  With this Insert type recessed member, the depth of the recess in the concrete product will exactly match the height of the recessed member, where, with the Profile Magnetic Plate, the depth of the recess will be equal to the height of the recess member, plus the height of the plate.

The Insert-Type Magnetic Plate eliminates the need for drilling setting holes in the steel forms. A set of strong reliable magnets are built into the base plate that hold the recess tightly in position during the placement of concrete.
